Apple Productions Board of Directors
Dianne Beaulieu-Arms
Dianne Beaulieu-Arms is a Contra Costa County
Native who now lives in Pittsburg with husband Bruce, children Noelle and Jay,
and boisterous, fun loving Labradors, Tailor and Zeke. She earned a Bachelor’s
degree in Political Science and later a Masters of Public Administration from
Cal State Hayward. She became involved in performing arts in 1990 as part of
her children’s education and their family home soon became a theatre workshop!
Although Dianne enjoyed a few performances on stage in her college years, her
work with local theatre companies is always backstage: costumer, stage manager,
stage crew, audition committees, properties or wherever she is needed. She has
been honored by the local theatre community with four Shellie Awards for
Outstanding Costuming. In addition to her community theater experience, Dianne
has worked with local youth as a substitute teacher, leisure services
instructor, UC Berkeley Gems Associate (leading hands on science workshops), and
as a volunteer with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Michael Casey
Michael & Nancy Casey have been small business owners since 1991 with
FastFrame locations in Walnut Creek and Castro Valley. Michael is past President
of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association.
He chaired the Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival for several years and served on
the board for the Rotary Club of Walnut Creek Sunrise and went through the
Leadership Contra Costa program. Growing up in Clayton, Michael has lived in
Pittsburg for the last 29 years.
Nancy Casey
Michael & Nancy Casey have been small business owners since 1991 with
FastFrame locations in Walnut Creek and Castro Valley. Growing up in Willits
California, Nancy moved to Pittsburg in 1988. She has owned her own Hallmark
Card shop and helped Michael manage an association of Hallmark stores covering
four states before opening FastFrame Walnut Creek & Castro Valley. Nancy has
volunteered with Poison Apple Productions with costuming and miscellaneous
furniture upholstering.
Honey O’Leary
Honey O’Leary is a retired teacher with
twenty-five of her thirty-five years of experience being a teacher of religious
studies at Carondelet High School in Concord. She is a native of Albany NY,
where she earned a BA in Social Studies at St. Rose College. After earning a n
MA in theology in Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY, she married her husband
Jack. They have lived in Pittsburg, CA for the last 33 years where they raised
their two children. Besides substitute teaching at Carondelet, Honey sees to
the care of their grandson two or three days a week. As an active member of
Pittsburg Community Theatre, she is happy to be on the board of Poison Apple
which opens up the magic of theater to the young people of her adopted home.
Jack O’Leary
Jack O’Leary was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1934. He earned his
bachelor’s degree in English from Catholic University in
Washington, DC and two master’s degrees, one in English and one in theology form
Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY. He was a Christian Brother for 17 years,
teaching at Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, Kamwenja Teachers College
in Nyeri, Kenya and Umbwe Secondary School in Moshi, Tanzania. He left the
Brothers to marry his wife Honey. Since 1977 they have lived in the Bay Area,
in Pittsburg since 1974. Jack taught English and was department head at De La
Salle High School in Concord until he retired in 2001. He still frequently
works as a substitute teacher at Carondelet High School in Concord. Jack and
Honey have two children, Maureen and Joe. Maureen was the first family member
to join Pittsburg Community Theater and appeared in several shows during her
elementary school years. Jack joined PCT in 1989 and has been an active member
ever since, appearing in about 15 shows himself over the years. He enjoys his
time on stage and hope that his work with Poison Apple will help provide others
with the same benefits.
Nancy Spellman
Nancy has worked in financial services
for more than 22 years in operations, as a project manager, and is currently a
compliance consultant. Nancy is the secretary for Diablo Valley Corvettes and
has been on the board of directors for the club for over 5 years. Previous
volunteer activities include President of Mountain View Elementary Parent
Faculty Club, Girls Scout Leader, Troop 1956 and Member of the Mountain View
Elementary Site Council.
